COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Texas A&M Engineering named 12 Faculty Fellows today (April 7) at its annual Spring Meeting in the Zachry Engineering Center on campus.

"The faculty fellows program recognizes the significant contributions faculty members have made to the Texas A&M engineering program," said Dr. G. Kemble Bennett, vice chancellor and dean of engineering. "The 12 faculty members recognized today exemplify the highest ideals: dedication to the role of educator, advancing scholarly discovery and research, and contributing service to the profession and society we serve."

Honored faculty were:

* Dr. Marvin L. Adams, Department of Nuclear Engineering -- George Armistead, Jr. '23 Fellow

* Dr. Bill Batchelor, Zachry Department of Civil Engineering -- Charles H. Barclay Jr. '45 Fellow

* Dr. Sila Çetinkaya, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering -- Dwight Look College of Engineering Fellow

* Dr. Aniruddha Datta, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering -- Eugene E. Webb '43 Fellow

* Dr. James E. Moore Jr., Department of Biomedical Engineering -- Dorothy and Ray Galvin '53 Fellow

* Dr. Rosana G. Moreira, Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering -- Dwight Look College of Engineering Fellow
