Engineering professor named Outstanding Young Industrial Engineer in Education

Sila Cetinkaya has been selected to receive the Outstanding Young Industrial Engineer Award in Education by the Institute of Industrial Engineers. This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding characteristics in leadership, professionalism, and potential in the field of industrial engineering. It is intended to acknowledge true engineering contributions in application, design, research or development of industrial engineering methodologies. The award will be presented to Cetinkaya in May during the 2003 Industrial Engineering Solutions Conference in Portland, Ore.
