The Department of Industrial and Systems
Engineering (ISEN) at Texas A&M University is seeking to hire a
full professor with expertise in systems engineering. The ISEN
department has 20 full-time faculty and over 650 undergraduate
and 230 graduate students, with strengths in all areas of
industrial and systems engineering.
The department offers both an on-campus on-line master’s
degree with a systems engineering specialty.
An individual is sought who will contribute to teaching
and research in organizational, functional, and relational
issues embodied in the engineering of complex technological,
social, and service systems, with particular emphases on energy,
aerospace, health care delivery, and/or distributed
manufacturing systems.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in industrial
and systems engineering or a closely related discipline, and
strong skills in systems modeling and computation, systems
integration and architecting, complex adaptive systems,
cognitive systems engineering, and/or engineering management and
organization. The
successful candidate will be expected to develop a focused
research program in this area, to teach graduate and
undergraduate courses, and to supervise master’s and Ph.D.
students.

scholarship and external funding
and will be expected
to develop a focused research program, to lead systems
engineering initiatives at the college and university level, to
teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and to supervise
master's and Ph.D. students.
